Job Description
Summary:
The Senior IT Professional I, under general direction from the Director of IT, provides technical leadership for a unit-level operation providing PC Tech support for the RELLIS Campus.
Provides technical oversight for the application of and compliance with the unit's technical standards.
Coordinates the technical activities of a project team.
Completes reports and summaries for management and users including project status reports, problem reports, and progress summaries.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation of an ITSM helpdesk software solution.
- Manage the helpdesk workflow.
- PC tech support of 50-100 PCs.
- Serves as a resource for internal and external customers.
- Serves as a technical lead in research, implementation, and deployment of systems software.
- Coordinates the installation and maintenance of both critical and non-critical software.
- Resolves configuration system performance issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of related experience in PC Tech support, ITSM solution (ex:
Jira, ServiceNow, etc.
) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to move medium to heavy items from one location to another.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Experience with MS Azure, Microsoft 365 Application, MS Intune.
- Experience with PC Desktop support, meeting SLA's.
- Experience with Change Management.
- ITIL Foundations certification.
- Experience with Dell laptop/desktop equipment, specifications and driver updates.
- Experience developing PC purchasing standards.
