Rental Director

As the Rental Director, you will be responsible for effectively managing and growing our rental fleet, geographic footprint, and profitability in the Rental Segment.

Summary:
As a Rental Director, you will be responsible for meeting the equipment rental needs of contractor companies, municipalities, industrial, and commercial companies.
You will work directly with customers to fulfill their rental needs, coordinate rentals, execute contracts, and resolve issues.
You will also provide support to our large sales team by offering rental unit support for prospective buyers.
Your ability to educate customers on equipment specifications, safety concerns, and proper use of equipment will be instrumental in providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and fulfill equipment rental needs of customers, execute contracts, and resolve issues.
Provide rental unit support to our sales team for prospective buyers.
Educate customers on equipment specifications, safety concerns, and proper use of equipment.
Research new leads and develop new accounts through cold calling.
Responsible for Rental Department profitability, including budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, fleet utilization, and expense control.
Develop and manage Rental Purchase Options and determine conversion from rental to used equipment.
Order and spec out new equipment to grow the fleet.
Prepare accurate sales forecasts.
Collaborate with marketing, service, and parts departments to encourage cross-selling opportunities.
Team management:
You will lead and manage a team of employees ranging from make-ready technicians and drivers through rental coordinators, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure team success Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsQualifications Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Or; 10 years of business and management experience.
Previous rental experience required Demonstrated ability to effectively manage highly detail-oriented job responsibilities Must have good command of the English language, oral and written.
Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally.
The following skills are preferred Leadership Time Management Analytical Skills Decision-Making Skills Customer Service Advanced Microsoft Office skills to include Excel and Word Parts, service and warranty experience strongly preferredWorking Conditions Work normally performed in an office setting.
May require the ability to travel.
Physical Requirements Ability to perform light to medium lifting as necessary.
Significant walking up to a mile at a time occasionally.
Standing or sitting for long periods of time during orientation or training.
