Responsibilities:
As a Legal Assistant/Paralegal, you will be responsible for:
1.
Conducting thorough legal research and providing litigation support for ongoing cases.
2.
Efficiently managing case files and ensuring all important documents are properly organized and readily accessible.
3.
Reviewing and proofreading legal documents and correspondence for accuracy.
4.
Drafting correspondence, pleadings and preparing for depositions.
5.
Utilizing electronic filing systems to maintain and update case files.
6.
Providing legal assistance and preparing legal documents as required.
7.
Demonstrating exceptional time management skills to meet strict deadlines.
8.
Utilizing knowledge of legal terminology in all written and verbal communications.
9.
Performing administrative duties such as answering phone calls, scheduling meetings, and maintaining office supplies.
Qualifications:
1.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the legal industry.
2.
Proven experience in legal research, litigation support, case management, and document review.
3.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
4.
Exceptional communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
5.
Proven ability to draft correspondence and prepare legal documents with high attention to detail.
6.
Experience with electronic filing systems and legal document preparation.
7.
Strong knowledge of legal terminology.
8.
Experience in office administration and litigation, particularly in the area of personal injury.
9.
A paralegal certificate is highly desirable.
10.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
11.
Experience with Firm Central software is beneficial.
12.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
