Assist the case worker in providing social service assistance to eligible clients in the following areas: food, lodging, clothing, furniture, and financial assistance. Prepare accurate and complete client records. Receive, sort, store and distribute food and clothing items. Maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the food pantry area, clothing closet, and social service office. Assist in referring clients to community agencies and maintains effective working relationships with the same. Ensure compliance with program policies and procedures.
Requirements
Required knowledge about of organization, philosophy, culture, protocol, and organizational structure. Ability and willingness to work in a flexible schedule. Knowledge of professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with the public encompassing all types of behaviors. Knowledge of general office and social service practices and principles. Ability to prepare accurate and complete client records and reports. Minimum 1 year experience working in a social service setting or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Education
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
